DLP4500: DLP not connecting to computer

Hi, 

Yesterday we were running experiment with out DLP tools. While we tried to switch the DLP conncetion from one PC to another PC it stopped working. It could not connect with the computer and the D4 is inot turning on while the fan working properly and the bottom LEDs are also turned on.

    Hello Abdullah,

    I did not see you mention whether the unit has been power cycled to see if it recovers.

    It seems that J18 and J30 are not populated, which is correct.  Were any jumpers changed?

    It is possible that the system became corrupted and will have to be reloaded over JTAG.  Hopefully this is not the case.

    In general it is recommended to put the system in standby and power down before changing the USB connection. 

    Have you tried connecting it to a different laptop?

    Thanks a lot. 

    Yes, I power cycled the unit but it did not recover. 

    No, we did not change any jumpers. 

    If the system is corrupted how can I reload over JTAG? I have downloaded the JTAG software but it did not work on my computer. 

    Yes, I tried different laptop.

    Hello again Abdulla,

    I am not sure what you mean by it did not work on your computer.  What software did you download?  Do you have the UM232 (FTDI FT232H) programmer?

    What OS is the computer?

    Also please put the boot hold jumper on and see if the system shows as connected.  It will be the programming interface, not the regular interface, but you should be able to see it in the GUI.

    Hi Fizix, 

    Thank you very much! I downloaded JTAG Flash Programmer software. But it was showing the following meassage when I started it. No, I do not have UM232 programmer. 

    This is Windows11. 

    I will try to look for the jumper will connect it.
