DLP2000: Is there a workaround to achieve the a neutral position to individual micromirrors on the DLP2000?

Part Number: DLP2000
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPC2607

Tool/software:

I am looking to do some research outside of the applications listed in the DLP2000 specification document. Is there a way to command a micromirror to the neutral position (i.e., not landed on or off)?

  • Hello User,

Welcome to the E2E forums and thank you for your interest in TI DLP Technology. We hope to assist you with your questions.

Unfortunately I do not believe this is possible.

The DLPC2607 (which is the controller for the DLP2000 DMD) has in the software programmers guide (https://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/dlpu013) only the following DMD control command to either park or unpark the DMD which correlates to the DMD micromirrors either being off or on. We cannot control individual angle amount of the micromirrors or positions outside of this.

This is from DLP2000 datasheet. https://www.ti.com/lit/gpn/dlp2000

    Regards,
