DLPA2000: Can I get a custom firmware builder for the DLPA2000, or can you make custom firmware for me? Also do the following functions need to be implemented?

I want to confirm that I DO NOT need to implement the following functions because they are not needed in my design, and I am space limited in my product

Everything regarding LEDs (I have pins A1, A2, B1, B2, D1, D2, E1, E2, F1, F2, F3, F4, G1, G2, G3, H1, H2 as floating)
Analog comparator (I have pin D4 as floating, D5 is pulled low with 4k7)
Motors (I have F5, G4, G5, H4, H5 as floating)
Light and Temp Sensors (I have E3 and E4 floating)

Please confirm whether these pins can be floating, or should be grounded, or they need to be implemented for proper function of the DLPA2000. Also please advise on how to get custom firmware if possible.

Hi Max,

I have exported and uploaded my schematics as a PDF. The DLPA2000 is on page 4. The request for custom firmware is because space and efficiency constraints. I am not using many of the functions the DLPA2000 provides so I would like to ensure the provided firmware works with my design.

Hi Brandyn,

With respect to the custom firmware "space and efficiency constraints" are you referring to the flash size required in your product?

Hi Max,

By size constraints I mean that the board is physically small. It is designed to fit in a pair of glasses. That is why I am not using many of the functions provided by the DLPA2000. Since the product is powered by batteries I have a very tight power budget so I want to make everything runs as efficiently as possible.

This is not a normal operating mode that we have not tested for the DLPA2000. The suggestions below need to be verified by the customer.

- Connect VINL to VPH.

- C12 on LS_OUT does not need to be 10uF if LS_OUT is not driving 1.8V to the DLPC and DMD. It can probably be removed or reduced to 100nF.

- Connect LEL_SEL0/1 to GND

- The VLED must never be enabled. The bit VLED_EN is controlled by SW in the DLPC.

Hi Maximus, I didn't get a notification for your friend request, so I sent one to you. I already have a board that is very similar to the one I posted in the chat. Unfortunately I can't communicate with the DLPC3433 over I2C. Do you have any feedback for that?

Hi Max,

I have figured out the circuit design for this part for now. Now I am trying to upload a custom splash. The DLP Lightcrafter software doesn't seem to work with the firm ware image I am using which is FWSel_DLPC3433_DLPA2000_pm2_i2c0x36_v7p4p3.img

If you know how I can upload a custom splash I would appreciate that. Thank you
