Hi,
I am an optical engineer with Irradiant Technologies near Boston, MA and I'm designing a lithography system that uses digital micromirror devices (DMDs). I'm in need of a high resolution DMD that can also be driven at high speeds. The current spec requires a 2560 x 1600 px DMD, such as the the DLP9000X, and that can be switched at speeds of ~ 12 kHz (for binary patterns). Current implementations that I had been considering (such as some models from Vialux) have limitations where streaming of frames from the on-board memory of the controller board to the chipset itself would allow for 12 kHz update rates but do not allow 12 kHz streaming from the computer to the controller board at 12 kHz. My printed patterns will be unique so I can't cycle the frames already in memory. This means I am limited in the maximum 'on' time that I can have on the DMD at its maximal switching rate before I have to turn my source off and wait for the on-board buffer to refresh itself, which is very undesirable. Does TI itself make controller boards that I can use? Alternatively, can you let me know about implementation partners that TI has, such as Vialux? I'm already in communication with Vialux but I want to know what my options are.
Thank you,
Sabeeh
