DLPC6540: DLP471TPEVM Splash Images

Hello Ted,

The current GUI for DLP471TPEVM does not support customize splash image to be added to the firmware. Can you please let us know the application you want to use your own splash image?

Our system is a beam projector.
We use HDMI to Vx1 converter (IT6807) to send Vx1 signal to DLPC6540.
We use Android TV box by HDMI source, but HDMI signal input is late when booting.
So when there is no signal, I want to change splash image to customize image.

If you share the splash image, can you change it?  Please tell me how to share it. Email, etc.
Also, is there a limit to the image size?
I'm thinking of making the image size 3840x2160 or 1920x1080 resolution.
If there is a size limit due to storage space, please let me know.
Also, is there a way to display a black screen (blank) instead of just outputting the splash image in the video no signal?

Hello Ted,

You can display 4k and 1080p image. For displaying a black screen, you can use black curtain color. 

If you still need to display a customize splash image, I've sent you friend request, you can send me your splash image in the private message.

Hello Ted,

You have option to use Curtain Color (black color) command to display a black screen or display a black splash image or a black TPG. It's depend on what the mode you want to use, you can refer to the DLPC6540 Programmer's guide to checked the commands usage. When you say display a black screen when there is no signal in the video, in general there is a short response time when switching between display sources.

I understand how to change the curtain color.
I have one question.
When I tested DLP471TPEVM, when there is no input signal, it changes to the splash image first. Even if I change the display mode to Curtain,
the splash image is output first and then the curtain color is output.
Is there a way to output the curtain color right away when there is no input signal?

No, what I want is:

1. DLP471TPEVM boots with splash image by default and I want to change it to custom image.
2. DLP471TPEVM boots with curtain mode by default. (Curtain  is set to black color)

So I want to change it to splash or curtain boot mode depending on the case.

If I want to change the splash image to a custom image, can you send me the image and I can change it for you?

If it is possible, can you help me change it without me having to do the work myself?

Since you seem to be very busy, I used the "DLP composer tool" to change the Default Startup Display setting

to Solid Field - "Black color", as shown below.

However, when I reboot, the display always displays in Blue. How can I apply the Black color?
