hi,

i want to do the research on reconfigurable multi standard video codec

regarding power and area reduction , DLPcrafter development  kit is how much help full for that

    I'm not sure what you wish to do specifically with the DLP LightCrafter. The LightCrafter system board does contain a DM365 processor, which runs embedded Linux. There is a DVSDK, which we are modifying for use with the LightCrafter. It should be available very soon. However, we have not done any work on the video codecs, and they are not activated in the DVSDK. A knowledgeable developer should be able to work with these to make them functional, and modify them to do the type of research you mention.

    So, the pieces are there. But we do not directly support the codecs within the DVSDK.
