How to buy a sync connector with pigtails

The LightCrafter manual suggests this part to connect to the sync connector. I picked up a couple as well as the crimp pins. I tried all combinations of crimping and soldering that I could figure out and failed to make a robust connector. I'm back to um.. taping wires directly to the sync pins. Can I buy this connector with pigtails already attached ? =)

  • James,

I understand the difficulty and tediousness of working with these pins/connectors. We have to make our own, too, for our own use. But, TI does not have pre-made pigtails for this application available for sale.

These pins require a specific crimp tool for fabrication. It's part number is listed on the DigKey page where the pins are ordered. It is quite expensive, though.

  • Pah.. bummer. I wasn't thinking TI would sell the part, but just thought you might know where to get it for a 10x mark up over CoM to save me the effort. Anyway, if you have to crimp your own, then I guess I will to. Thanks for the info. I'll get the specialized crimping tool when the current situation annoys me sufficiently.
