USB-I2C converters for DLP Pico Projector basic start up questions

Is there an example of how people used the USB-I2C converter from devasys http://www.devasys.com/usbi2cio.htm How would I connect a DLP Pico Projector to it? What are the connections needed? What are the few basic steps needed to start using this converter with the DLP Pico Projector

I have read past forums and the user manuals.

Thank you

  • Hi Noor,

I'm going to move this thread to the DLP Video and Data Forum, they should be able to handle any questions you have about interfacing with Pico projectors (this forum is primarily for Advanced Light Control parts).

    Best regards,
    Trevor
  • Connect a cable from J4 on the Devasys to the I2C bus of the DLP Pico Projector. A schematic with the pinout of J4 is available at the Devasys website. How to connect to the projector is dependent on the projector. Most will not make this bus readily available. Also, it is probably connected to other devices in the projector. You will need to have DLP Composer loaded on a PC and have a project matching the DMD and DLP controller used in the projector.
