DLPA2005/DLPA3000 Temperature sensor

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPA2005, DLPC3438, DLPA3000

Hi,

I have a question about the temperature measurement by the combination of DLPA2005/DLPA3000 and DLPC3438.

I'd like to change the thermistor from the EVM reference to other parts.

  Reference NCP15WF104F03RC(Murata) → For example,NTCG104LH104(TDK)

Is it possible to change the settings in the LightCrafter Display 3010 EVM GUI?

Is it can be adjusted by changing the fixed resistance value, such as R22.

or should I use the MURATA of reference?

Best regards,
Seishin

    Hello User,

We have a look up table in our software which has to be update when using a different kind of thermistor. This feature is currently not supported for our EVMs.

The thermistor from TDK has a higher B constant value as our current one and I don't think that you will get accurate measurements without adjusting the LUT.

Changing R22 would only help if the temperature vs resistor curves are similar. R22 would only take care of a constant offset between the two curves.

I would recommend using the thermistor in our reference design, if possible. Do you have a specific reason for changing it?

    Thank you,

    Nadine
