DLP light crafter 6500 power up issues

I am trying to turn on my dlp light crafter 6500 evm for the first time and I get no power on light or connection to the software interface. I am using the 6 pin molex connecter to an ATX powersupply. I have verified that the plug is putting out 12 VDC with a multimeter and that the positive and negative terminals at the power plug are getting 12 V on the board but still nothing. Am I missing something or should there be something else that I should try? Please advise.

Thanks,

Michael

  • Hi Michael,

When power is applied to the LightCrafter 6500 board, you should see at least the power good light come on. First, check that the power connector is connected in the correct orientation and is making good electrical contact. You may have already checked the electrical contact of all pins when you tested the pins on the board, but also check that pins 1, 2, and 3 are ground and pins 4, 5, and 6 are 12V.

Let me know what you find and I can give you next steps.

    Best regards,
    Trevor
