Increasing Default Refresh Rate

I am working on a project whereby high refresh-rates are required. I saw in the specifications of the DLP LightCrafter 4500 that the video display rate is 120hz. Then I saw that the binary display rate is over 4000hz 8-bit. Does this mean that it is possible to increase the video display rate of the DLP device to over 1000hz?
