Hi,

I recently brought a DLP lightcraft 9000 evaluation module but did not find its API.

I have downloaded the "DLP LightCrafter 9000 Firmware and Software Bundle with GUI Source Code" on www.ti.com/tool/dlplcr9000evm but it seems that it does not come with source code. And I do not know where is the API.

Could anybody provide me the API of DLP9000? I prefer C/C++/C#.

Hi Shangting,

Welcome to the E2E forum for the New DLP Applications & Technology Forum.

Unfortunately there is no API for the LightCrafter 9000 EVM. Developing software for the DLP9000 and the LightCrafter 9000 EVM would involve programing using the commands and protocols covered in the DLPC900 Programmer's Guide.

Hi Shangting (and other engineers),

Have you already found an API that we can use for the DLP9000?

We want to control the projector with our own software but we can't find the way to do that. Our program is written in C++ and we want to set the projector in video mode via DisplayPort. We also want to log the temperature of the LED.

We send a video stream via DisplayPort to the projector. Then we use a 3,3V trigger to enable/disable the LED. We need to connect to the projector and set the correct settings each time the machine is powered up. We would like to know which API to use or which header files to include into our project.

Hopefully someone can help us with this.

Hello Marcel,

In addition to the DLPC900 Programmer's Guide mentioned by Shangting please also check out the DLP Software Development Kit (SDK) User's Guide that points to the SDK source code for several LightCrafters, including the DLPC900 controller based units.

A question that I keep is: Whats the reason to use the DLP Software Development Kit (SDK) User's Guide? Why is there not just an option to download a library and include that in my project?

Our software communicates with more USB devices and we just have to include a header file and it works well. Is there a way to do so?
