DLP3010: I want to ask a question about the 8-bit refresh rate of the DLP3010. What does the 8-bit refresh rate mean? Does it mean the single color model? Or, does it mean the an RGB trichromatic model?

For the DLPC900, using all 24bits of input data (RGB888 image), the maximum speed is 1031Hz with preloaded patterns. Otherwise, that device can run at 360Hz with an external source, which basically means 120Hz per channel. However, the DLPC900 falls into a family of devices which are not intended for projection - they are intended more for industrial uses and non display applications.

In general though, when we say "8bit refresh rate" we usually mean on a per channel basis. For the DLP3010 in particular, you'll need to look at the DLPC3438 to see what frame rate that device can achieve. Table 4 of the datasheet should answer your questions:
