DLP9500: DLP9500

Part Number: DLP9500

Hello,I am Tony. I encountered a problem when I used DLP9500. I generated the data ,and then send to the DMD,But the image's not right(not always right). Our company's product is Laser Direct Imaging Machine。We send the generated data to the dmd,and then move the stage.... ,Finally,We can generate a whole image。Now, I find the image is not right, In the image,we can see that all black coverrd on the rignt image. I am confused what can result this(Right image and all black data exist simultaneously during one exposure procedure)。Can you give me some suggestions? Thank you very much!

  • Hi Tony - To help ascertain what is happening, I will need a bit more information. I am assuming when you mention the "black" image you are referring to the dark strip which appears from ruler position 36.5 to 40? Is this the width of the entire DMD projection onto the panel? Are you stepping the image an entire DMD height or stepping by one row for each frame of data?
  • Bosun,Thans for your reply! Yes,the black image appears from ruler position 36.5 to 40! when I plan to operate the dmd,we always load all 1's to entire dmd(2048✘1080),then load the image data to part of the dmd(row216 to row551,col=2048bits),the other row(row0 to row215,row552 to row1079) is always 1's,then global reset.
  • Pardon me if I am slightly confused - if you are loading '1's into all remaining rows (not data related), then this suggests those areas will have the resist exposed. I would expect that when you step the DMD that the entire area (entire process direction column) will be exposed by the '1's, including the area with the valid data, and create the stripe as shown? I am not a photolith expert so I may be missing something.
  • Bosun,Thanks for your reply again. There is optical deviece(wavelength=405nm) which illumination zone is not entire DMD,is only some rows(row216-row551) 。as the stage moves, onec you load the image data into the  dmd(row216-row551),the real image will be displayed on the substrate because of the light。If only all 1's be displayed on the substrate ,We can say we might load the rong data,But now,the right data and the wrong data exist simultaneously. it have confused me several weeks. I don't know how to result the weird phenomenon.

  • Hi Tony.   At this point, I don't have enough information to sense anything is not correct.  Have you tried to see what happens if you load '0's into the remainder of the DMD instead of '1's?   Also, you might want to try to capture the data in the areas of interest (on a white background using a camera) to see if and when the data looks like it is not correct.  That could lead more to understanding what is happening.  Then get back with me if you have any follow-up questions.
