DLPLCR4500EVM: ERROR - LCR4500_GET_OPERATING_MODE_FAILED

It is possible that your system connection is failing, rather than the EVM itself. Have you tried reinstalling your drivers/software for the LCR4500? If that fails, try installing the basic software on an alternate PC to try to isolate the problem.

Let me know when you have tried these things.

Hi Philippe,

We tried it on two separate PCs and we had the same error.

I can try uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling them.  Is there a best practice for this. I’m device manager what does the driver appear under. I’m using Windows 10 pro.

On the basis thelat this doesn’t work is there a way to trouble shoot the problem in more detai? ( Hardware vs a software problem?)

Hi Guys, 

So I've been playing around with the software and encountered a new error, the projector is connected but it cant seem to find the firmware.

So I've tried to reinstall the firmware in case it is corrupted but software cannot find the files even though they are located in the correct place. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated as we are running up against deadlines with this project and we need to find out what is causing this problem.

Hi all, 

We have installed the software on a windows 7 PC and tried to update the firmware but with a similar result. The software is still saying that the firmware file is not found. 

Would you have any more ideas as to what we could try here?

Please have a look at the path length (better not have spaces in the file and directory names) and file name, this may be one reason why it
cannot find the file.

I just want to double check that what we are doing is correct. This file path matches the path that the firmware file is located and the file names are correct. Is this formatted correctly?

First put it in the root directory see if it helps, like c:\DLPR350PROM_v3.1.0.bin or c:\\DLPR350PROM_v3.1.0.bin no problem.
Look carefully at how the path looked when used the with the v3.0.0
Try removing "." in the directory name.
Otherwise the path looks okay.
