DLPC300: "Command Header Read Failed" Error on Lightcrafter

Hi,

When I try to connect to the DLPC300 from my computer using a USB connection with the DLP Lightcrafter software,

I am getting an error message and not able to connect. The device is being recognized by the computer.

This is what the GUI looks like initially:

When I click 'Connect', I get this error message 'Command Header Read Failed':

And when I click Ok:

Please tell me what to do.

Hello Amrita,

In order to better assist you and to try to pinpoint the problem could you please answer the following questions:

Could you please confirm what version of the GUI you have installed? You can find the latest at https://e2e.ti.com/support/dlp/f/94/t/730405
What operating system version do you have installed on your computer?
Does your Lightcrafter have a 2.0 sticker on the device or the box?
Have every been able to connect this Lightcrafter to a system before or if this is a new issue?
What power supply are you using on your Lightcrafter? Does it bootup with an image?

Hi Kyle,

Here are the answers:
1. I am not sure about the version but I think it is the latest (Windows 3.0) as it was installed about a year ago.
2. Windows 7
3. No
4. Yes, I have used this Lightcrafter for a year.
5. I am not sure what you mean by 'does it bootup with an image'. The Lightcrafter is powered by a wall socket of 220V.

Hi Amrita,
Also before opening the GUI. Make sure the you are able to ping to the IP address 192.168.1.100 and you don't see any errors.
