DLP660TE: Is there an evaluation board for this?

How can I get an evaluation board for this pixel shifting "4k" chip (DLP660TEFYG)?

Do I have to make it myself? "www.ti.com/.../toolssoftware"

DLPC4422: $83

Total cost is probably going to be < $1000.  Add to that a body, lens, light source and prism I guess.

I didn't see an HDMI or USB panel mount connector in the bill of material.  I am not sure how you will get an image to display using this board.

Is the only other option this? "keynotephotonics.com/.../ It is a bit large and expensive compared to other evaluation boards from TI.  I just need something that has a basic lens and that will display an image.

I also see the chip will not be manufactured for much longer according to the Mouser website

" End of Life: Scheduled for obsolescence and will be discontinued by the manufacturer."  Is there a replacement?

    Hello Kobus,

    Thank you for using the DLP Forums.
    Currently the only way to obtain an evaluation board for the DLP660TE are the two options you have listed.
    However we will be releasing an EVM based on the DLP660TE in ther first half of 2019, although it will only be the electronics. The EVM is projected to cost around $2k.

    As for the video input, you will need to acquire a front-end chip that supports a V-by-One interface.
    The end of life is due to the DMD undergoing a process change, but there will be a replacement.
