DLP470TE: Mirror angle clarifications

Part Number: DLP470TE

Hello DLP Experts,

I'm posting a couple of our customer's clarifications on DLP470TE. This will be used in a fiber optic communication.

1) Can each of its mirror angle be tuned continuously?
2) What's mirror angle tuning accuracy?
3) What's mirror angle tuning repeatability?
4) Is each mirror angle 2-D tunable? Does each dimension have same tuning feature?

We appreciate your help and inputs.

Kind Regards,

Jejomar

  • Jejomar,

    Thanks for the question.

The DLP470TE is a display device.  The mirrors essentially have only 2 operating states: on and off.  The mirrors "land" on a stop; there is no electronic tuning of the angle.

I don't believe we have any products that have this capability at this time; however I am going to ask some of our DLP® Industrial team to comment in case they are aware of any products that might have the capability you are looking for.

    Regards,

    Gary

  • Jejomar,

As Gary mentioned, all of our devices only have two operational states.  I am not aware of any devices that have this capability.

However, as a broader question, what are you trying to achieve.  There may be other ways to get there, potentially with the way DMDs operate.
