DLP660TE: Achieving 30,000 lumens using DLP

Hello,

We have a customer needing to develop a 30,000 lumen projector, but so far we've found the highest luminance of 7000lm from DLP660TE basing on this selection guide

However, he's mentioned that there are existing projectors in the market that can produce 35,000 lumens using TI DLPs.

May we please ask for your advice if this is possible and how it can be done?

Hello Elisha,

Thank you for using the DLP E2E forums.
As you already mentioned, the DLP660TE is only qualified to operate at 7K lumens. The limiting factors here are the thermal limitations of the package of the DMD.
We do have other existing DMDs with a more capable Type A package that can handle more heat but i would need to know more information about your customer's application to provide the best solution.
