DLPC2607: I can config DLPC2607 through I2c, but it does not work, it is all black

Hello

      I designed a pcb silimar to DLPDLCR2000EVM . Now I can access to DLPC2607 through i2c, and write 0x0b 00 00 00 01, 0x0c 00 00 00 1B, 0x16 00 00 00 07 to it, and then read the data back, they are all correct. But there is no reaction, it is all black , no light at all. What should I do to debug the hardware?

    Hi，thanks for your reply.

          I configed dlpc2607  to use the internal test pattern  as my video source.  

         I designed my own PCB board simily to the Eval board to achieve smaller size. The interface between the my board and the optical engine is exactly the same as that of the development board,so that i can connect the optical engine directly to my board. I want to know whether the dlpc2607 initialization process must be started from the SPI?  At present, my flash is empty, so does that mean the chip can not work normally? And I want to know how to burn the flash and what the data format of flash should be?

    Hello User,

    The system will not boot unless the flash device is programmed first. The DLPC2607 reads from the SPI flash device during initialization.

    You will need a copy of the 2607 flash image binary to program your flash device over SPI. Please accept my friend request on E2E so I can assist your further with this.
