Hi Team,

May I ask whether we have integrated circuit about DLP LED driver?

Because now my customer use the discrete devices to do LED Driver as the following shows. And as their feedback, the efficiency is low and thermal performance is low...

Hi Amelie,

Thank you and your customer for considering the use of our DLPC120-Q1 and DLP3030-Q1 chipset. No, we do not have an integrated DLP LED driver. Careful selection of components and a good circuit layout will help thermal performance and improve efficiency. We also have the DLPC230-Q1 and DLP5530-Q1 chipset which has a system management IC that can take advantage of an external LED controller.

The current architecture is designed to optimize display performance and maximize the range of dimming ratios. From an output lumen to input power standpoint, it is actually very efficient. This reference design can output 90 lumens with 7 W input power while achieving over 5000:1 dimming ratio.
