DLP650LNIR: Windows 10 USB driver issue

Part Number: DLP650LNIR
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPLCRC410EVM

Hi

I have a DLP650LNIR + DLPLCRC410EVM evaluation module which has been running with no problems when connected to a Windows 7 laptop, used for development.

Now I need to use a Windows 10 machine to ship the unit but the DMD is not being enumerated correctly in Windows 10.

Hardware setup is identical. Running the latest Discovery 4100 GUI software, v2.0 ('dlpc133'). Direct connection, no USB hubs in the way.

Under device manager I have:

Windows 7: Universal Serial Bus Controllers => TI 4100 Explorer

Windows 10: Other devices => DLI USB FX2 Firmware 2008, and the device is flagged as having a problem.

Do I need to point this device at somewhere else?

Thanks

  • Hi James,

Sorry to hear about the issue when moving to Windows 10.

We have noticed similar connection issues, and are working on a new install package this quarter to help overcome some of these items.

Fizix will be able to reply to your specific issue.

    Regards,

    Matt

  • James,

Please go into Win 10 device manager and "update driver" and point to C:\Program Files (x86)\D4100Explorer\Driver\Win10 (replace C: with your system drive if needed).

Choose 64-bit or 32-bit depending on your installation.

Then once there let it choose the appropriate driver.
