Hello, TI

I downloaded a design file and tried to open its DSN file with OrCAD Capture 17.4. The downloaded file name is TIDA-01226 Schematic Files DLPDLCR4710EVM-G2. The file date is 19 Aug 2016.

( https://www.ti.com/tool/TIDA-01226 ) But one of page has a loss of component symbols.

The following message is appeared on Session Log window of OrCAD.

I've found a thread log which indicates a solution for a past issue which is very similar to mine. ( https://e2e.ti.com/support/dlp/f/94/t/593619 ) Is it possible to provide the DSN file in the 17.4 format like this thread?

I have attached the updated DSN file based on Cadence v17.2. Please use the same and confirm if this resolves the issue.

I believe this should address the issue that you are facing.

Hi Mayank,

Thank you very much for your update and sorry for my late reply.

I tried using the new DSN files provided from you but the symbol lost issue in page 03 is still exist.

Given that your side can open it correctly, I'm guessing that my OrCAD might have some issues.

I found a past Cadence thread related a similar issue.

It mentions about a Capture.ini file which is described the location of the folder which stores the symbol data. Though it's unclear if they were able to found the root cause at all…

I think it's CAD issue, not TI issue, so I hate to ask this of you but… Could you send your Capture. ini file?

It would be very helpful for me if you could let me confirm it.

Capture.ini file location is as bellow.

C:\Cadence\SPB_Data\cdssetup\OrCAD_Capture/17.4.0/Capture.ini

C:\Cadence\SPB_Data\cessetup\OrCAD_Capture/17.4/Capture.ini
