Hi,
I am planning to write a large number of 8-bit monochrome, horizontal pattern sets (7 patterns per set) to Flash.
In this case, how many pattern sets can be written to Flash at maximum?

Goto

Hello Goto-san,
Welcome to DLP forum and thank you for your interest in DLP technology.
We will get back to you with information in first week of January. This a holiday period for our team.
Thanks for your patience.

Goto-san,
Please consult this FAQ page for information on pattern limits on our LC EVMs. Note that these numbers are based on the flash device sizes used on the EVMs. You may be able to store more patterns if you had a custom board design with bigger flash memory size.

I hope this helps.

Philippe-san,
Thank you for your response.
I checked the reference page, but it doesn't seem to have the information I need.
The DLP-4710EVM-LC has 64Mb Flash, how much size can be allocated to pattern data?

Goto
Hello Goto-san,
The maximum number of pattern sets that can be defined in the pattern order table is 128. This limit comes from the Embedded software and assumes that the flash has sufficient size to accommodate these many pattern sets.
Also, you can use the save pattern to file feature of the GUI to check what pattern data gets written into the flash.

Hi Mayank,
Thank you for your response.
Does this point to the "Byte 2 Pattern Set Entry Index" in the "Write Pattern Order Table Entry (98h)" command?
