DLPA3000: Running RGB channels simultaneously

Part Number: DLPA3000

Hi Team,

a customer is working on a surface inspection application.
The cameras used to record the projected image have very high frame rates.

The classic RGB sequence causes issues there, because of the rolling shutter of the cameras.

Would it be possible to control al three RGB channels simultaneously with DLPA3000?
So the beamer would only project black and white images.

If not, would you know any other PMIC that would allow this?

BR,
Stefan

  • Hello Stefan,

Welcome back to the E2E forum!

Unfortunately the DLP systems are not designed to run LEDs simultaneously. The controllers and PMICs drive a single LED color at a time, so there is not alternative option to emit all three at once.

However, your client may consider running a single white LED in place of a green and disabling the red and blue LEDs. This would have the same effect of a black and white image.

    Regards,

    Austin
