Hello, I have bought the DLP2607 projection module of your company, and I want to write a custom picture into the internal FLASH, do you have any method?

Hello User,
Unfortunately, unlike our other TI.com EVMs the DLPDLCR2000EVM does not have a built-in mechanism for writing a new flash image directly to the EEPROM. In order to update the EVM's flash image you would need a tool that lets you hook up to the EEPROM chip yourself (such as a Cheetah and SOIC-8 clip).
I apologize for the inconvenience.

This product, if you want to write the picture to EEPROM, how should operate?
Is it to convert the image into binary data and then write it with IIC? It seems very complicated, and after writing, I also need to call the image projection, is there any simple method?
thank you
Lei Wang,
It is possible to write to the Flash EEPROM over I2C, as documented in the DLPC2607 Programmer's Guide (https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/dlpu013a/dlpu013a.pdf). However, this method provides no means to recover your flash memory if you accidentally corrupt your flash EEPROM in the process. The DLPC2607 cannot perform Flash EEPROM writes if it is unable to boot in the first place, after all.
Because of this, it is recommended to use SPI Host Adapter to connect directly to the EEPROM. Unforunately, this EVM does not have support for USB flash write.
Lei Wang,
Thanks. I have accepted your friend request on E2E. Feel free to contact me with additional questions.
