DLPA2000: DMD driver scheme

Part Number: DLPA2000
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPA3000, DLP3010, DLPC3433, DLP2010, DLPA2005, DLPC3430

1. We need to build a DMD driver scheme. DLPA2000DYFFR     DLP3010AFQK/DLP3010LCFQK     DLPC3433CZVB,We have simply made the following block diagram. Do you have any problems with our scheme and chip selection?

2. Is there a reference design for model selection and scheme?

3. Can the PCB design and package library files of these DLP chips be provided?

  • Zhang,

The block diagram that you have referenced above is correct. However, I would note that the block diagram references the DLPA3000 supporting both controllers/DMDs instead of the DLPA2000. The DLPA2000 and DLPA3000 are both supported for this chipset, but the DLPA2000 produces less current (which also makes the minimum current lower).

There is a reference design (includes PCB and schematic) available for the DLP3010 chipset which uses the DLPA3000. You will need to adapt this reference design in order to support the DLPA2000, should you choose to use it: <-- DLP3010 EVM Reference Design (DLP3010 + DLPA3000 + DLPC3433)

The DLP2010 chipset (which uses a WVGA DMD instead of 0.3" 720p) features a DLPA2005 which is functionally similar to the DLPA2000. This may help you with guidance on the DLPA2000's implementation taken together with the DLP3010 reference design <-- DLP2010 EVM Reference Design (DLP2010 + DLPA2005 + DLPC3430)

Since you are using a chip combination which does not directly match any of the EVMs on, I recommend that you refer to the DLP Firmware Selector Tool for an initial firmware build:

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have questions on the above.
