DLP9000: Max Illumination power density for DLP at NIR

Part Number: DLP9000
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLP650LNIR, DLP9500, DLPC410

Hello, I have a digital micromirror from vialux, using a DLP9000 chipset. Your material says that the recommended illumination for >700nm should be below 10mW/cm^2.

I wonder why the threshold is so low for NIR. I know DLP9000 is designed for visible light, but could I use a @1550nm laser with power density which is slightly higher than the threshold?
