DLPDLCR2010EVM-PCB

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPDLCR2010EVM-PCB, DLPC3435

Hi All :

We bought some DLPDLCR2010EVM-PCB for develop, we want to create the image to set crop image resolution(854*480), change duty circle and current  on the look 1, look 1 is the default look when we open the projector.

We following the steps like below : Using Light Crafter Display v7.0 software

1. We use the software to backup the projector image. When we open the projector we can see the crop resolution is 1280*800(this resolution maybe is EDID?) and the default look is look 1.

2.Using DLPC3435_3.0.0_Firmware.im_.img as the base to change duty circle and current and create the image.

3.Using software to update the image which we create to the projector.

After these steps, we can see the crop image resolution is 520*320 and the look 1 isn't our set duty circle, we found the correct duty circle is in the look 3 when we open the projector.

How can we update the image to change current and duty in the default look 1 and don't change the crop image resolution?

We want to open the projector and see the crop image is 854*480 and correct current and duty in the default look.

Please help us to resolve this issue.

Thanks.

  • Hello Michael,

The GUI does not allow you to update the duty cycles of Look 1. You will instead update Look 3. In order to achieve what you are requesting I would recommend the following:

    1. Open the DLP LightCrafter Display v7.0 and enter "Advanced" mode in the top right
    2. Select Flash Image Update on the left side
    3. As before change add your input and output image, change duty cycle, and update the splash image (if desired).
    4. Add an auto-init batch file. These files are essentially lists of I2C commands that will run at startup. For example, you could change the look to look 3 by adding a line in the batch file saying "W 36 22 03". For a list of commands see the DLPC3435 software programmer's guide. You can do things such as change image crop, LED currents, etc.

Hopefully that helps achieve what you need. If not please let me know how else I can help.

    Thanks,

    Kyle

  • Hi Kyle :

I know we can use the I2C command to change look, current and crop image resolution.

I want to comfirm if we sign the software license agreement (SLA) to get composer tool, the composer tool can update the crop image resolution, Max Current and duty circle of the look 1 ?

    Thanks.

  • Hello Michael,

Sorry for the delay. Please accept my friend request on E2E so we can continue this discussion offline.
