Part Number: DLPDLCR3310EVM

Hi good morning,

I have a problem with the unit, basically the 3v transistors dont work and the optical system is damage also, so the image cant be project.

Which could be the reason of the problem?

Thanks

  • HI Manuel,

We can not tell before analyzing anything, you need to debug the unit.

When you are saying optical system damage... what does that mean, is DMD bad or the projection lens/optics gone bad. Could you please explain in more detail.

How did you check that 3V transistor doesn't work, Have you applied the correct voltage to the EVM as mentioned in the user guide ?

    Thanks,

    Navneet

Hi Navneet,  thanks for your answer

Let me explain you, regarding the optical system, yes at the beginning was projecting the image from a laptop and even a video but after a few minutes stop projecting the image and the led that indicates that is the 3v3 conversor stop flashing.

About how we tested the 3V transistor, yes we followed all the steps as the users guide says, including the proper voltage. We connected the power source then the leds (5V and 3v3) turned on and then we swicth on.

If you need something else to know please let me knoe.

    Regards

    Hi Manuel,

We need to debug this EVM, can you probe the following signals and measure the voltages.

you can get the schematic here : http://www.ti.com/general/docs/lit/getliterature.tsp?baseLiteratureNumber=tidrx38&fileType=zip

    PROJ_ON, RESETZ , INTZ, Supply from DLPA (1.1V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V), D1 led status, J7 (pin1 and pin2), LED_SEL_0, LED_SEL_1, CMP_OUT, VOFS, VBIAS, VRST,  P3P3V,  P3P3V_SB,  P5V, VCCDDR,  P1P8V, P2P5V, VCCINT,  FPGA_PWREN, P1P8V_PRE, VCCDDR, mHOST_IRQ,  FPGA_RDY,  FPGA_RESETZ,

Please share the status of all these signals.

    Thanks,

    Navneet

    Hi Navneet,

Sure, we will do this and let you know

    Thanks

  • In reply to Manuel Baez:

    Hi Manuel,

    Any update on this...

    Thanks,

    Navneet

    Hi Navneet,

The team are doing the tests for tomorrow I will have the results.

    Thanks

  • In reply to Manuel Baez:

    Hi Navneet,
We have done the test already. The signals and measures that are not in the list it’s because we understand that is in the second board, so we didn’t want to disarm the device just to be safe and don’t lose the warranty.Attached you will find a file wih the results.
I will be waiting for your comments

    Hi Manuel,

Give me some time, i will check and get back to you.

    Thanks,

    Navneet

    Hi Navneet,

    Any news?

  • In reply to Manuel Baez:

    Hi Manuel,

I did not get chance to look in to this, we are very much busy with other stuff.... please spare some more time, I will get back to you very soon.

I sent you the friend request on e2e, please accept the request.
