DLP4500NIR: Window material / Transmission in the mid-infrared region

I am working on building a Infrared Projector with the DMD.

However the DMD windows are only available for Visible and NIR wavelength.

Could someone help me where I can replace the window for MWIR? 

In case of doing it myself, Is that harmful for the chip ?

    Hello Dat,

    Welcome to the DLP section of the TI-E2E forums.

    We do not support the replacement of windows for the DMD.  There is proprietary material inside the DMD that is necessary for reliable operation.

    Also, be aware that the pixel pitch of the DMD makes the diffraction efficiency in the MWIR quite low, since the wavelength and the pixel pitch are on the same order.

    It seems that there is some requirement driving the need for MWIR.  Are you able to share it?
