DLP660TE: BootLoader may be damaged, how to recover?

Part Number: DLP660TE
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPC4422

Hi,

When I was debugging DMD, the ".img" file that you provided earlier was successfully downloaded, as shown in the figure. Later, a 12kb image of ".jpg" was successfully downloaded, and later it was found that it could not be displayed. The ".img" file provided could not be downloaded, suggesting a USB driver error. The device manager of the computer did not respond when DMD was connected to the computer. According to the user manual, shorting J29 still can't solve the problem. It may be that the BootLoader has a problem. Is there any solution?

Best wishes!

Xin

  • Hello Xin,

Thank you for using the E2E forums.
The flash image "Flash_DUAL_DLPC4422_DLP660TE_LED.img" that the user guide instructs you to download is not the image that will be displayed on the DMD. It is the firmware that the system needs in order to operate with the 0.66 DMD.

By downloading the ".jpg" and overwriting the bootloader of the system, you will no longer be able to communicate to the system. We are in the process of posting a software tool on TI.com that will allow you to redownload the bootloader, but we'll work with you in order to get the tool quickly to resolve your issue asap.

Please accept my friend request so we can discuss offline.

    Regards,
    Oscar
