DLPLCR4500EVM: Display stuttering at 120 Hz.

Hello Haein,

Could you please clarify whether you are using the projector in the pattern mode or if you are using it in video mode? If you could also share a screenshot of the GUI configuration that would be useful.

Here is the screen shots. As you can see refresh rates is 120 Hz hgwever, there is buffer freeze. If I move around the cursor, the motion is very choppy.

And here is the intel display settings. It only provided 60 Hz. And I made custom resolution at 120 Hz.

We understand your issue. We are sorry to inform you that this version of DLPC350 FW does not include support for 120Hz Video display. We plan to include this in the next version of FW, which will be released shortly.

In the description of features of DLPC350, it says that:

Video display mode of operation

• 10- to 120-Hz full color frame rates
• YUV, YCrCb, or RGB input data formats

You clearly state that this chip supports up to 120-Hz full color frame rates.

Could you explain about this in detail? And what FW exactly means?

We'd like you to know that the controller does support 120Hz input & display in "Pattern Sequence from Video Source" Mode. But since the target of this controller is primarily LightControl Applications, we currently do not have support for 120Hz in "video mode". FW stands for Firmware. We'll be releasing a new version of the DLPC350 controller Firmware shortly, which you can download and flash. We are trying to include 120Hz Video Mode support in that Firmware.
