Hi,

I've been trying to buy the 0.66" UHD TRP S610 DMD, DarkChip3 (Part #: DLP660TE) for my Dell Advanced S718QL for a week now and no luck...

(it has the dreaded white dot syndrome / DMD failure)

Digi-Key is the closest I got with these two links, one link it says they don't know when it will ever be back in stock:
"Part not released for production by manufacturer... Due to temporary constrained supply, Digi-Key is unable to accept backorders at this time."

this next link the chip comes with a board attached and it's over $1000 !! (Reference Design Evaluation Board - whatever that means!!)

any idea how to get this chip other than wait for an "as-is" for parts cheap uhd 4k projector to come up on eBay to cannibalize? the optoma uhd60 uses the same dmd as the S718QL.

Hello Mike,

Thank you for using the DLP E2E forums.
We recognize that we are having issues with the availability of our components on TI.com and our distributors. We are working on resolving this issue, but unfortunately our current estimate on when this will be resolved is next Month, December.

An alternative is to contact the manufacture to ask for a replacement, whether it is through a warranty claim or by purchasing it directly from them.

It's past 2 years so pretty sure it's out of warranty and purchase what from Dell? They surely don't sell that chip separately. Not sure what you want me to purchase from them.

Unfortunately I am not able to speak on the price of the DMD, you will have to wait until they are available for order.
