DLPNIRNANOEVM: dlpspeclib 11 warnings with DLP Spectrum Library 2.0.3

Part Number: DLPNIRNANOEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPC150

Good morning,

I have publicated in Code Composer Studio forum but they not send to DLP forum and I publicated a new thread here:

https://e2e.ti.com/support/tools/ccs/f/81/p/856878/3168900

"

I am trying to compile the libraries I have in the CCS.

I have managed to build the "driverlib", "usblib" and "dlpspeclib" libraries well. The problem comes with building the "TIVA EVM" library ...

It gives me several warnings in "TIVA EVM" that I attached in a photo and in "usblib" and "driverlib" gives me a warning.

This image is of the driverlib

This image is of the driverlib

The complete sentence is:

Description Resource Path Location Type
This project was created using a version of compiler that is not currently installed - 5.0.4 [ARM]. Another version of the compiler will be used during build - 5.2.5. See 'Help > Install New Software' and select 'Code Generation Tools Updates' to check if this compiler is available through a CCS update. Visit <a href="liveaction:OpenAppCenter">CCS App Center</a> to get the latest compiler support. Or <a href="software-dl.ti.com/.../a> and install the compiler, then register it with CCS through 'Preferences > CCS > Build > Compilers'. driverlib properties Problem

My question is: should I worry? or am I still using the code?

I imagine that those of "usblib" and "driverlib" is no problem because otherwise it would not give an error. But in the one of "TIVA EVM" I worry more.

Thank you very much,

Best regards

  • Hello Guillermo,

Have you been able to try installing the compiler that was mentioend in the error message? If so do you still see the error?

    Thanks,

    Kyle

  • Hi Kyle,

    Thanks for your attention.

I have installed the compiler and now the driver and usb libraries work without warnings. But the TIVA EVM MOBILE continues with the same 21 warnings.

    Greetings

  • Hi Guillermo,

Which version of CCS are you using? Could you kindly try using CCS v8.1.0 and see if the warnings go away? In our system we have compiled using CCS v8.1.0 and found no warnings. Kindly also ensure that the Compiler version is TI v5.2.4 or later, and under CCS General, select the RTSC tab. Ensure that TI-RTOS for TivaC is set to 2.10.1.38 and XDCtools version is 3.30.4.52_core for all 4 projects.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Hirak.

  • Hi Hirak,

I was using the CCS 9.1.0 version.

But I have installed version 8.1.0 as you told me, and I still have the same problems. I have made sure that I have the correct versions of TIVA and TI-RTOS and it is like that.

I believe that the spectrum library that is on the official website has errors. Because it is the only library that gives me errors ... and she may give the Mobile EVM library an error ...

I enclose images of the errors with the ccs version 8.1.0

The speclib have the 11 warnings like using CCS 9.1.0.

    Thanks

    Regards,

    Guillermo

  • Hi,

The dlpspec library have this warning... I forgot to attach that image

  • Hi Guillermo,

kindly allow us some more time to look into this, we will get back soon!

    Thanks & Regards,

    Hirak.

  • Hi Guillermo,

We tried to follow the specific steps as mentioned on the NIRScan Nano user guide using CCS v8.1 and were able to compile without any warnings on our systems! Could you kindly try with another PC and see if you still get the warnings?

    Thanks & Regards,

    Hirak.

  • Hi Hirak,

Testing on another PC I have the same problem. 11 warnings in the "dlpspeclib" and 21 warning in "TIVA EVM" ...

I think that the Spectrum's library is corrupt or something. Because "usblib" and "driverlib" compile without errors, but "dlpspeclib" already has 11 errors before importing the "TIVA EVM".

If you could pass me a zip or rar file to import into the CCS ... and the same as the NIRscan Nano Software too, since in the GUI program it tells me that I was expecting a more modern one but it doesn't have it. I have not found software newer than version 2.1 of NanoSoftware.

Thank you very much. I wait for an answer.

    Regards,

    William

  • Hi William,

If you don't currently want to make changes in the FW, you don't need to build it yourself. You can just take the officially released NIRScanNano binary and flash it using the NIRScan Nano GUI. You should also flash the latest DLPC150 FW binary. You can find all of this on the NIRScan Nano product page. Does this help?

    Thanks & Regards,

    Hirak.

  • Hi Hirak,

Yes, I know this but I would like to make changes like turning on the bluetooth from the beginning and making 3 scans after pressing the button.

I see that I use the latest updates of NIRscan programs ... But from the beginning when doing clean project and building the "dlppspeclib", it already gives me 11 errors ... That's why I think there will be a problem in that library .. which then chains the other 20 problems of the "TIVA EVM" library. Therefore, if I could pass the files in another way ... I would be more secure.

    Thank you.

    Greetings

    Guillermo

  • Hi Guillermo,

I verified the version on TI.com, and it seems that these warnings are present in the project. For now you can ignore these. I will also verify with our SW expert and reconfirm this.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Hirak.
