DLPLCR6500EVM: Displaying static image (DMD micromirrors always on)

Part Number: DLPLCR6500EVM

Hello,

I would like to display a static image and keep the mirrors on or off during a long time. Is there a way to do it with the DLP® LightCrafter™ 6500 Evaluation Module?

Thank you,

Geoffroy

  • Hi Geoffroy,

    Welcome to TI E2E forum.

Yes, You can display the whit pattern to keep the DMDs on for a long time. However, you would get pulses @ 105us when you display dark patterns. What is the application you have in mind? May be I can suggest what you can do in a better manner

    Thanks

  • I would like to display a static image while keeping the micromirrors locked in a position for a long time. I want the mirrors in the dark position to be locked in that position, is there a way I can do that ?

  • Hi Geoffroy,

I am still not clear about the application. Do you want the system to display static images either always on or always off? Do you need this for scanning application?

As far as I can understand from your explanation, For dark image, I can suggest you to park the DMDs in the system settings page

For DMD to be always on, You can display a single color image of 1bit pattern with zero dark time ad setting the repeat bit.

Please let me now if this doesn't help.

    Thanks

    Sachin
