DLPC900: Pattern Image Load with Firmware v5.0

Part Number: DLPC900

Hi, I am working with a DLP6500 in an application where I am using the pattern on the fly mode, and loading images to the board. I have a custom test GUI that I use to load images by calling a driver that sends USB HID commands to the board. With firmware version 4.x, I am able to successfully load images, however when I move to firmware version 5 I am no longer able to successfully load images. Note nothing is changing in my software, it is purely a firmware change on the board. I am still able to load images through the TI example GUI for either firmware version.

Is there anything in the protocol to the board that has changed for version 5? Were any bugs fixed such that if my driver was sending a message that wasn't 100% correct it would previously work, but will no longer work?

Thanks,

Paul

  • Hello again Paul,

With the introduction of the ability to re-order LUT data, there are some requirements for loading Pattern LUT configuration data before running patterns.

The previous version was a little more relaxed if it was not done.

Please let me know if this helps.

One thing you can do is generate a batch file with the GUI to see if it is sending what appears to be an unnecessary command.
