DLPA2005: using DLPA2005 without driving any LEDs

Hi, we are developing an optical system using DLP2010NIR where no light source is necessary. In this case can we disconnect all the LED driver related pins like AFE, RGB strobe decoder, VLED buck-boost? Is there a guide for using DLPA2005 to drive the DMD chip only?

    Do you mean to drive the system without LEDs connected? Or are you looling to drive the LEDs externally?

    Hi Philippe,

    There are no LEDs or other light sources in our system, all we need is to display a pattern on the DMD.

    I am developing an application that does not require any light source as well. For that, I replaced the three LEDs with similar diodes. But if it is possible to somehow shut the RGB STROBE DECODER and VLED BUCK-BOOST, it will be great to save some power. I am interested in TI's reply on this too.

    I am using DLPC150. I am trying to use the DLP2010 as a building block in a fluorescence time-resolved spectromter system. Hence, no need for the LED control from DLPA2005.

    We reviewed your requirement. Unfortunately, this feature or functionality  is NOT supported on DLCP150.

    Many thanks for the reply and the correction. 

    I got a little bit confused when I also had a look at the schematics of the DLP NIRnanoscan. In the reference design, the DLPA2005 has no connection at VLED1 and VLED2. However, the used controller is DLPC150 as well. Can't I just follow that design?
