DLPLCR65NEVM: DLPLCR65NEVM

Part Number: DLPLCR65NEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPC410

Dear sir!

I want to know if Labview could control the DLPLCR65NEVM.

If I want to control the DLPLCR65NEVM, what should I do?

Best regards

Zhao!

  • Hello Zhao,

    Nice to meet you.

Are you asking if Labview can control the DLPLCR65NEVM directly?

This evaluation module has a near infrared DMD and a board for the DMD. All DMDs need TI controllers to drive them for the best performance. In this case, the DLPC410 would be the controller to drive this DMD.

Please let us know if this answers your question.

    Regards,

    Matt

  • Hello Matt,

    Nice to meet you too.

Yeah,  my question is if Labview can control the DLPLCR65NEVM directly?

I want to control the DLPLCR65NEVM by Labview, but I have no idea.

So could you give me some advices?

    Regards,

    Zhao

  • Hi Zhao,

I am not aware of the ability to use Labview to drive a DMD directly. There are very specific voltage and timing parameters that the DLPC410 controller provides to the DMD.

The normal flow of data and patterns is from a source like HDMI or Displayport to either an Apps FPGA or to the DLPC410 FPGA, and then to the DMD. Our Discovery platform has an Apps FPGA and a DLPC410 FPGA on one board.

Sorry the delays in response. With holidays and other constraints, we will do our best to catch up on all of your questions. Let us know what else you need.

    Regards,

    Matt

  • Hello Matt,

Do you mean I only control the DLPLCR65NEVM by Discovery 4100?

Is there any other way to control DMD?

    Regards,

    Zhao

  • Hi Zhao,

Yes, the DLPLCR65NEVM is controlled by the Discovery 4100 or by a separate / custom DLPC410 controller board setup.

    Regards,

    Matt
