Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLP4500
Hi,
after waking up the DLPC350 from standby mode, does the device continue to work as before without any additional commands? Or do we have to reconfigure the DLPC350?
Best,
Hagen

Hello Hagen,
Welcome to DLP forum and thank you for your interest in DLP technology.
Could you please share context and hardware for your question? Are you using TI EVM or it is your designed board?
Please also share detail about the execution/system flow - to stand by mode and wake up.
regards,
Vivek
Hello Vivek,
we use the DLPC350 (TI-Firmware 4.1) with a DLP4500. The board design is more or less a customized LightCrafter. Regarding standby the hardware pin POWER_ON_OFF is only pulled up to 3V3.
For our 3D measurements we operate the DLPC350 in pattern mode with image sequences from flash. With the standby mode we want to save power if we do not need the projector. So we want send the standby command after finishing a pattern sequence and wake up the DLPC from standby just before starting the pattern sequence again.
So the main facts we need to know are:
- are the pattern mode and the solution (all parameters for the patterns) after wakening up the same as before entering standby mode
- how long does it take to wake up from standby
Best,
Hagen
Hagen,
Thank you for sharing details. Our team member will get back to you.

Hi Hagen,
Kindly find the answer to your queries below:
- are the pattern mode and the solution (all parameters for the patterns) after wakening up the same as before entering standby mode
TI> The pattern sequence settings are not retained when we switch back from standby to power on mode. However, you can create a new FW binary with your INI Configuration attached using the GUI FW Build tool and download it on to the DLPC350. This way your attached INI pattern sequence config will be retained even after standby and power on cycle. You will just need to validate and start.
- how long does it take to wake up from standby
TI> This time is configurable to using the DATAPATH.SPLASHSTARTUPTIMEOUT parameter on the INI File (this only works when INI is attached to the FW using FW Build tool). For safety, you should add 2seconds for initialization overhead to the time specified by this parameter.
Thanks & Regards,
Hirak.
