Hi,
This question is a follow-up to the locked thread "DLP9000: Non-systematic missing parts of the patterns displayed".
We ran thousands of test patterns trying to overcome the problem that some parts of the patterns are non-systematically off in the pattern-on-the-fly mode. Briefly, the original sequence of commands was as follows:
for each iteration:
- turn off dmd idle mode;
- display image;
- stop pattern sequence;
- set dmd idle mode
After adding Park DMD / Unpark DMD 'sandwich', the problem was overcome:
for each iteration:
- Unpark DMD
- turn off dmd idle mode;
- display image;
- stop pattern sequence;
- set dmd idle mode
- Park DMD
The question we've got is as follows:
In a single run, each pattern out of 300 has to be displayed for 10 minutes with pauses of 10 - 60 minutes. It means that we park/unpark DMD 300 times during a 7-day run, leaving it parked each time for 10 - 60 minutes (obviously, without intermediate switching off/on the projector). Are there any drawbacks of parking / unparking the DMD so frequently? Does it affect the lifetime of the projector components?
Regards,
Roman
