DLP4710EVM-LC: How do I configure the DLP4710EVM to display 3D video.

Welcome to the E2E forums and thanks for your interest in our DLP technology.

There are 5 looks (index 0 - 4) available on the DLP4710EVM firmware. Look 4 corresponds to the 3D look. You must switch to Look 4 (3D) and provide a valid 3D input source in order to enable 3D operation.

Hi Philippe,

I  set the look to "Look 4" by setting the Look select to 3.  
I was able to read back the look and ensured and it appeared it was set correctly, however when I injected the side by side 3D source it did not merge them like expected.  
Also on the Three D Mode still returned 0x0 2-D operation on the GUI's advanced source page.

Am I missing anything?

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner.  
My source is a side by side 3D source at 720p60, being played by a laptop and fed to the DLP4710EVM via HDMI.

Yes, the projector displays the 2D image perfectly. 
I think the issue I am having is that the development kit does not detect my source as a 3D source, although I was able to use the same source to display a 3D image with another projector.

I don't really need 3D working, My end goal was to use  just wanted to use the 3DR pin on J48 to (3D left rigt reference indicator) to drive provide a pulse on a frame by frame bases.  
It would be fine if there is another way to get a trigger on frames.

I see that you are currently using an old software/firmware version, will it be possible for you to use the latest version that is available on ti.com and check whether you are still facing the same using or not?
