DLP7000UV: Frequency inquiry

Part Number: DLP7000UV
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLP7000

Hi Team,

My customer is reviewing this White paper "Laser Power Handling for DMDs" (link below). Wants to clarify if Does the term 'frequency' simply refers to 1 over pulse duration? or refers to the total cycle time over the pulse duration?

He also wanted to know the maximum light intensity/power or damage threshold of the DMD.

Regards,

Renan

  • Hello Renan,

Frequency refers to 1/(total cycle time) [not 1/(pulse duration)].

The second parameter is duty cycle, which is (pulse duration)/(total cycle time).

Regarding power damage threshold values, we do not publish values since there are so many paramters to take into account.  Thermal is the primary issue until you get to the UV range (< 400 nm for the DLP7000).
