DLPC900: About reserved download/debugging port

Part Number: DLPC900

Hi

We designed a custom DLP application system with reference to 6500EVM without IT6535.

Numerous debugging interfaces are reserved in the reference design , we want to know which interfaces we need to keep in product.

1)  JTAG Boundary Scan  (J10  Keep)

2)DLPC900 UART  (J6)

3)ARM Multi-ICE debug port (J8)

The hardware loads the bootloader for the first time using the J10 ,Are there other ways to write to the Bootloader?

Byron

  • Hi Byron,

JTAG Boundary Scan (J10), DLPC900 UART(J6) ports should be kept in the product.

After First time boot loader is loaded using JTAG Boundary Scan (J10) device, next time Boot loader can be updated through USB port with the help of DLP Composer.

ARM Multi-ICE debug port (J8) will enable higher level of Software debug. It is good to retain this.
