DLP4500: DLP4500 fail to power up

Hi,

I received my DLP4500 a few weeks ago without doing any experiments yet. Lately when I used the 12V, 5A power supply to get it work, there was literally no response.

The device was not detected by my laptop via the GUI Control Software first. What's more stranger to me is the LED D4 does not even light up. Instead I got LED D7 (green one) and D16 (red one) at the bottom of the board lit up all the time when charged. I am not sure what is going on. Could you please give me some suggestions on how I am supposed to make my LCr work again? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Is there any activity on the fan when plugged in or any display output (even for a brief moment)?

Hi Austin,

Literally nothing happened, no fan activity, no display output at all. I am currently working with JTAG flash programmer, which I think might be a possible solution. What do you think I should do?

Jinhui,

Yes, kindly try to use JTAG flash programmer and let us know if you are able to bring up the EVM. Before that ensure that the external power supply requirements are met.

Hello,

I just got my JTAG boundry scan cable available for flash erasing. The problem now is even though the DLPC350 could be well detected, I cannot really erase the flash memory. For clear information, I attach some relevant screenshots here that might be helpful.

To be specific, the first image shows what I got after hitting the detect chain button. There is no problem with the JTAG interface as I can see. However, when I hit the flash erase button, the prompt popping out tells nothing about the EVM device we have. The Mfg ID is the same as DEV ID, which should be not. While the Device Size gave me NA, as you can see in the second screenshot. The most weired thing is, the loading bar did not give any progress after all blocks are selected to be erased. It was just stuck there for ever. The last picture shows the error info when I hit the verify button.

I have totally no idea what is going on with my flash erasing program. What do you think might be the problem? Any tips should be greatly appreciated!
