DLPLCR65EVM: Replacement for DLPLCR6500EVM?

Hello Guys,

It seems that DLPLCR6500EVM is already obsolete? Is DLPLCR65EVMt he replacement?

Our customer have the obsolete DLPLCR6500EVM.  He is able to stream over HDMI at 60Hz using the DLPC900 GUI but wonder if there is a way to stream 1-bit images faster? Is there a way to bundle the 1-bit images such that he could stream at a rate of 60*24 Hz for either DLPLCR6500EVM  and DLPLCR65EVM?

    Art,

    We now sell the Controller Board and the DMD/DMD Board separately instead of as a set.  There were some updates to the hardware, but the firmware and software should work equally well with both the older and newer EVMs.

    Please have the customer look at using Video Pattern Mode.  He will have to pack his 1-bit patterns into bit slots in a 32-bit (i.e. 8-bits of R, G, & B).  If only 24 bits are needed the last 8 bits can be filled with 0's.

    Then in video pattern mode define 24 1-bit patterns to be displayed once during each video frame.  The only requirement is that the cumulative display time of the 24 1-bit patterns must be less than the video frame time.
