DLPLCR65EVM: DLPLCR65EVM error

Part Number: DLPLCR65EVM

Dear Team

Good day!

Our customer order 2 DLPLCR65EVM 2 years ago , recently , one of them went error  .

When they want to  output the desired graph, it displays failed!

When they want to choose "normal" and "pattern on the fly mode", it will jump back to "standby"

Another one work fine , they had compare the LED state when they power on , they are same

They want to confirm that which component broken could cause this happened , how to check it , I found this product had been sell the Controller Board and the DMD/DMD Board separately , I can't find the original instructions.

Could you provide any suggestions?

BR,

Leon.liu

  • Hello Leon,

Firmware v2.0.0 is NOT compatible with GUI 5.0.0.  You will need to update the FW or revert to a much earlier version of the GUI.

GUI 5.0.0 requires FW 6.0.x which is available on ti.com. DLPR900 Firmware

  • Hi, Sorry for a long time to reply,

At that time, I use the same computer to connect these two DMD module respectively.

Both the DMD module are DLPLCR6500.

But, only one DMD module can works.

Is it still the problem of Firmware?

Thank you very much in any case, and looking forward to hearing from you soon
    Sincerely,
    HC, Hsu
  • Hello Hsu,

Please go to the directory where the firmware resides and delete a directory called FlashLoaderCache.

The system is attempting to save programming time by comparing what you are about to load with what is in this cache and only loads changes.

If you connect another EVM, then deleting this folder will for the entire FW to be loaded.

Try this and see if it cures the issue.

If you are switching back and forth between the two systems, you may want to write a batch file that does this for you that you can run each time before programming the FW into one of them.
