Trouble with the resolution of the input patterns and displayed patterns

Hello,

I am using the DLP LightCrafter 4500 in pattern sequence mode. I am confused that the images added to the firmware are all 912*1140 but they are displayed with the resolution of 1140*912(seems to be). Visually, they are zoomed  both vertically and horizontally. I wonder why this happens. Thanks.

    Can you explain how you have added images to the DLPC350 file?

    If possible attach the displayed image and what is expected output..

    Also are you adjusting anything in the INI file like made changes in the Horizontal or Vertical flip in the INI file.

    Usually I put 16 1-bit images(912*1140) into one 24-bit color image using "create images" tab, then add this 24-bit image to firmware and upload the firmware. BTW, I didn't adjust anything in the INI file.

    It seems that they are inverted or changed.

    Oh Ok. I understand your point now.

    When you see a 912x1140 image on PC it naturally looks bigger in height compare to the width.

    Now in the DLP4500 chipset, look at the DMD specification http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/dlp4500.pdf Figure #3 details about the DIAMOND PIXEL orientation and arrangement and how the pixels are packed. Then look at the Figure #15 about the physical dimensions (shown in Table 5. Micromirror Array Physical Characteristics) the 

    physical spec says

    width = 9855um (912 pixels)

    height = 6161.4um (1140 pixel)

    So this results in showing the image of 912x1140 dimension looking bigger width wise compared to the height in contrast to more pixels in height wise.

    Feel free to revert back if anything not clear.
