How do I interface DLP Lightcrafter 4500 with LabVIEW?

Yes, as you mentioned, you can use either I2C or USB to communicate with the DLPC350 controller for the LightCrafter4500. There are a few examples at the end of the programmer's guide to help you get started.

The DM365 is an application processor on our LightCrafter3000 platform. This device is not on the LightCrafter4500.

I am using LabVIEW to communicate with DLP Lightcrafter 4500 using I2C. I have used an Arduino board as the interface between the DLP and my PC.

I am confused about the salve addressing of the DLP. According to the DLP Lightcrafter 4500 User's Guide, the slave address is 0x3A or 0x34. However, the DLPC350 Programmer's Guide is giving conflicting information, which says the slave address is 0x1A or 0x1D.

I am using the LINX package for LabVIEW to communicate with the DLP using an Arduino. I am unable to get the I2C communication working properly for "write" commands. Attached is an example VI, in which I am using I2C command to write to registers to perform certain functions. Nothing happens to the DLP when I tested out various writable commands.

I think it means that when we don't think about "R/W" bit, it's 0001 1010(0x1A), when considering to the "R/W" bit , it's 0011 010(0/1)( that is 0x3A or 0x34).

Attached is my updated LabVIEW code.

Doesn't matter which address I use for the slave (0x1A, or 0x34, or 0x3A), neither of them is successfully writing to the DLP. I am able to get the read working using the slave address of 0x1A, however, I doubt the validity of the returned data.

I tried putting the DLP into "internal test pattern" mode by using the command 0x00. I even tried to change the "internal test pattern" by using the command 0x0A. None of these are working. Refer to page 23 and 24 of the DLPC350 Programmer's Guide.
