Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPC900
dear sir,
if customer only uses the pattern from ROM, can they remove the FPGA?
They use DLP9000.

Fizix,
So, even the pattern is stored in DLPC900's flash. DLPC900 still needs the FPGA to coordinate the patterns? How does FPGA coordinate the patterns at this condition even FPGA doesn't get any pattern information?

Frank,
For this system, the Master contains the left half of the images and the Slave the right half.
Please reference the following thread:

Fizix,
Customer doesn't need the video pattern mode. they only need the internal pattern mode from DLPC's flash. Why do they need the FPGA?
They remove the FPGA's rom and the internal pattern mode works normally. Does it make sense?

Frank,
Thank you for the clarification. If they do not need any video capability, the ITE receiver and the FPGA can be eliminated. I did not fully understand until I spoke with the system engineer who worked on the project.
